Committees and Boards
for 1 July 2010 through 30 June 2012
AGU Committees are the backbone of the Union. They bring to life the volunteerism necessary for the Unions success. They provide operational advice and support, program oversight, policy guidance, and vital ideas for every significant activity of the Union. They formally draw together people of relevant expertise from the membership of the Union who otherwise would not have a good way of sharing out responsibilities.
AGU thrives, in large part, because of the strong teams of volunteers and paid staff that drive the ongoing programs and develop new ones.
All standing committees are established by and accountable to the Board of Directors.
