Mangrove sediments and geomorphology

C. Woodroffe

Mangrove ecosystems demonstrate close links between vegetation assemblages and geomorphologically-defined habitats. Mangrove species distribution is influenced by several environmental gradients which respond either directly or indirectly to particular landform patterns and physical processes. In addition, vegetation can change through time as landforms accrete or erode.
