Welcome to the AGU publication fee calculator.

Publication fees are determined by publication units, which are based on number of word equivalents in PDF, number of figures, and number of online-only materials; see Publication Fees.

In three easy steps, you can determine the publication fees for your AGU article at any time.
  1. Browse and select a PDF version of your article. Select the journal to which you will submit and the number of online-only materials that will accompany your article, if any. Click on Submit File.
  2. Indicate elements (e.g., number of B&W and color figures, dynamic files) and options (e.g., color, author choice and electronic reprints). Note that these are journal dependent. Browse and select online-only material files, if any. Click on Calculate Fee.
  3. Review summary of publication fees. If you wish to change the number of elements or options, use form at bottom of screen. A printer-friendly version is available.
