Cassini Flyby of Jupiter

Journal of Geophysical Research, vol. 109, no. A9, 2004

Description: En route to Saturn the Cassini/Huygens spacecraft flew by Jupiter. Important discoveries and insights came from the fields-and-particles instruments on Cassini/Huygens and from cooperative efforts with scientists using the Galileo spacecraft (in orbit about Jupiter), instruments in orbit about the Earth and on the ground. The boundary and compression of the Jovian magnetosphere was observed. The propagation of the solar wind between Earth and Jupiter was studied. The source of Jovian radio emission was further characterized. The first images of energetic neutral atoms at Jupiter were obtained. This series has15 papers.
