Students in many countries need support to attend AGU Meetings.

Give them a helping hand.

Sponsor an international student by giving $1000. Give $500 to bring a US student to a meeting. Your gift, large or small, will enable AGU to award more grants in 2010. Hands down, student travel grants make a difference.

Grants

AGU administers programs to provide travel and research support for student and early-career Earth and space scientists.

Student Travel Grants

Student Travel Grants are available for a limited number of students planning to attend annual and biannual AGU meetings. This program provides financial assistance to U.S. and international young scientists and students who have little or no support from research contracts or grants, and who are presenting for the first time an oral/poster presentation as first author at the meeting. Application requirements and funding amounts vary by meeting.

Members of the AGU are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals who have made an outstanding contribution in their respective discipline(s) and recognize outstanding contributions of young scientists who are engaged in experimental and/or theoretical studies.

Full Descriptions and application

AGU is a worldwide scientific community that advances, through unselfish cooperation in research, the understanding of Earth and space for the benefit of humanity.
