Focus Group Activities at AGU:

MRP Reception at the Fall AGU Meeting (normally Tuesday evening--reception night; specific time and location TBA).

Physical Properties of Earth Materials is a standing committee of MRP devoted to understanding and using data for physical properties of rocks.

MRP Graduate Research Award: Each year, the MRP Focus Group presents the The Mineral and Rock Physics Graduate Research Award which recognizes outstanding contributions by young scientists who are engaged in experimental and/or theoretical studies of Earth materials.The deadline has passed for this year's nominations but it is not too early to think about next year:

MRP Student Paper Awards: Recognition of outstanding papers presented by students at the Fall AGU meeting are presented at the MRP reception. Awards are based on evaluations by the members of MRP.
