The Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology Focus Group promotes a focus on paleoceanography and paleoclimatology within AGU. It is charged with building interdisciplinary interaction and educating AGU members about the nature and importance of problems and issues in paleoceanography and paleoclimatology. AGU members can now affiliate with the Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology Focus Group as their primary or secondary affiliation.
The Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology Focus Group sponsors the Emiliani Lecture and Special Sessions at the Fall and Spring Meetings and other AGU meetings. The focus group also supports the continued development of AGU’s journal Paleoceanography.
