Upcoming Meetings

  • CIDER 2013 Summer program
The purpose of CIDER 2013 is to bring together scientists from different disciplines to better understand how and when continents are formed and destroyed. A specific objective is to draw together independent datasets, ranging from geophysics (seismology, mineral physics, rheology, geodynamics) to geochemistry to surface processes. One goal will be to develop a synthesised view of the thermal, compositional, rheological, and geochronological structure of continents, from the lithospheric mantle to the crust.

  • Goldschmidt 2013
Goldschmidt2013 is the foremost conference in Geochemistry, and provides a unique opportunity to make contact with more than 3000 of the world's most senior geochemists.

  • AGU meetings

  • EGU 2013
The EGU General Assembly 2013 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world into one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences. Especially for young scientists, it is the aim of the EGU to provide a forum where they can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geosciences. The EGU is looking forward to cordially welcoming you in Vienna.

AGU SEDI will be co-sponsoring some sessions at EGU Geodynamics General Sessions

  • Gordon Research Conference - Interior of the Earth
The Gordon Research Seminar on Interior of the Earth is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. The focus of this meeting is the composition, structure, dynamics and evolution of the Earth’s mantle and core. Participation is expected to be broad, and includes (but is not limited to) those working in the fields of seismology, geochemistry, geodynamics, geomagnetism, mantle petrology, and mineral physics. Prof. Ed Garnero (Arizona State) will be joining to be the keynote speaker and on-site mentor.
