Help AGU build for the future by becoming a Supporting Member. Supporting Members' gifts help ensure the continued growth and vitality of the Union. Extra support from supporting members is particularly important to sustaining the Union's outreach activities.
As a Supporting Member you pay regular dues plus the Supporting Member contribution for the category you select. You may choose to direct up to half of your Supporting Member contribution to one or more of the special funds.A description of each fund is provided so that contributions may be directed to the activities you wish to support. Undesignated gifts are welcome at any time.
How to Make Your Contribution
Gifts in any amount can be made when you renew your membership or whenever it is most convenient for you. To find out more about opportunities to support AGU programs, contact AGU's Development Office by phone: 202.777.7483; or e-mail: development@agu.org.
Categories
Individual Supporting Members: An annual contribution of at least $120 in addition to the regular $20 dues.
Supporting Life Member: A one-time contribution of at least $1,200 plus the one-time payment of life member dues. Current Life Member dues are $600, age 35 and under; $500, ages 36–50; $400, ages 51–65; $300, 65 and older. Supporting Life Members are exempt from further dues payments.
Benefactor: A one-time contribution of $5,000–$99,999 or cumulative giving within this range. Please contact Joanna Tahar at 202.777.7483 or jtahar@agu.org to discuss your gift.
Monthly Giving
AGU's monthly giving program helps ensure a steady stream of financial resources for vital Union activities. Your gifts go directly to programs that benefit Earth and space scientist worldwide, deliver sound scientific information to policy makers, and increase society's scientific literacy. You decide how much you wish to give each month—$10, $15, $20, $30, $50, or more. Your credit card will be charged now for one month’s contribution. You authorize AGU thereafter to charge your credit card the same amount on or about the 15th of every month. At the end of the year, you will receive a giving statement for tax purposes. Participation in the Monthly Giving program may be cancelled at any time by sending an email to development@agu.org.
