Tim Killeen, geoscientist, born January 21, 1952. Ph.D., 1975, University College London. Visiting senior scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, 1992; University of Michigan: Researcher and Professor of Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences, 1978–2000; Director, Space Physics Research Laboratory, 1993–1998; and Associate Vice-President for Research, 1997–2000. Director of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), 2000–2008; Senior Scientist, High Altitude Observatory, NCAR, since 2000; Assistant Director of Geosciences, National Science Foundation (NSF) since 2008.
