Served and serving on the Goldschmidt International Program Committee as theme chair, 2006 and 2009, and as session convener, 2002, 2006, and 2007. Also session convener at AGU Fall Meetings 2006 (VGP) and 2007 (U). Author of 92 refereed publications between 1992 and 2007, 19 in AGU journals and 12 in Nature and Science. Recipient of the CNRS Bronze Medal, 2001, and the Prix Etienne Roth of the CEA and the Académie des Sciences, 2005.
