Janne Blichert-Toft. AGU member since 1989. Directeur de recherche with the CNRS, appointed at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENSL), since 1997. Geochemist specializing in radiogenic isotopes with applications to geochronology, terrestrial and planetary mantle-crust evolution and mantle dynamics, early Earth geodynamics, planetology, and cosmochemistry. M.S., 1990, and Ph.D., 1993, geological sciences, University of Copenhagen. Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR), 2000, Université Claude Bernard, Lyon I. Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow, ENSL, 1994–1996. Appointed chargé de recherche with the CNRS, 1997. Promoted directeur de recherche, 2002. Visiting professor at California Institute of Technology, 2003. Also member of the Geochemical Society and the Meteoritical Society. Currently serving on the EAG Houtermann's Medal Committee, the AGU Macelwane Medal Selection Committee, the Geochemical Society Nominations Committee, The CNRS National Committee for Earth Sciences, the French national funding agencies INSU and CNES in the fields of deep Earth, early Earth, planetology, and meteoritics, and the Scientific Council of ENSL. Served and serving on the Goldschmidt International Program Committee as theme chair, 2006 and 2009, and as session convener, 2002, 2006, and 2007. Also session convener at AGU Fall Meetings 2006 (VGP) and 2007 (U). Author of 92 refereed publications between 1992 and 2007, 19 in AGU journals and 12 in Nature and Science. Recipient of the CNRS Bronze Medal, 2001, and the Prix Etienne Roth of the CEA and the Académie des Sciences, 2005. |
