The Fall Meeting has moved West—to Moscone West!
The Fall Meeting in San Francisco will move to Moscone West. Scientific
sessions and other events will be held at Moscone West, located
at 800 Howard Street, directly across 4th Street from the Metreon.

unless otherwise noted.
Accommodations
Deadline to Reserve Rooms at Special AGU Fall Meeting Rates: November 5
A wide range of hotel options, including different
prices, levels of service and locations, are available for your
selection. Many hotels listed on the Online reservation form are within walking distance
of Moscone West. Limited, round-trip shuttle service between hotels
outside walking distance and Moscone West will be provided for your
convenience. Onsite shuttle schedules will be posted in hotel lobbies
and at Moscone West.
Hotel reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
Special AGU room rates published in this issue will be subject to
change after the 5 November reservations deadline
date. Rooms fill up quickly, so we advise you to make your reservations
as early as possible.
Housing Reservations
Deposit Information: Hotel reservations will not be processed
or confirmed by Convention Management Resources (CMR) unless
or until you provide credit card information along with your
approval for a deposit charge in the amount of $125 per room or
$300 per suite, or a deposit check, made payable to CMR
(not payable to the hotel or AGU), in the
amount of $125 per room or $300 per suite. IMPORTANT:
CMR will forward all individual credit card information to the hotel
for processing prior to guest arrival. Check deposits made out to
CMR will appear as a credit on the individual's guest hotel folio.
Parking Tax: The city of San Francisco charges a 14% tax per night for overnight parking. This charge will be added to the individual's guest hotel folio.

Confirmation of Hotel Reservations
Within 72 hours of submitting your reservation Online or via
fax, you can expect to receive confirmation of your housing arrangements
via email or fax. Reservation changes or cancellations will prompt
the system to generate a new confirmation notice. Carefully review
the information on your confirmation notice for accuracy and bring
a hard copy with you to San Francisco. NOTE: You will not
receive a confirmation from the hotel.
Changes/Cancellations/Refund Policy
All changes, cancellations, and requests for refunds must be received
by CMR at least 72 hours prior to arrival in order to avoid forfeiture
of your hotel deposit.

Hotel descriptions and a hotel map are published on the Online
reservations form. (room rates do not include 14% state and
local taxes).
Shuttle Bus Service
Shuttle service will be provided to and from all hotels, except the San Francisco Marriott, Argent, Villa Florence and Powell Hotel. Schedules and pickup locations will be posted in all hotel lobbies and the Moscone Center. Taxis are also available and are reasonably priced.

Airline Discounts
Save money on your domestic travel costs to San Francisco
on United Airlines! You will receive a 5% discount off the lowest
applicable discount fare, including first class, or a 10% discount
off midweek coach fares purchased 7 days in advance. If purchasing
at least 30 days in advance of the travel dates, you receive an
additional 5% discount off the already discounted or special
fare. Or you may choose Area Pricing, a discounted, fixed-rate airfare
based on geographical location, which must be purchased 7 days in
advance.

Travel Insurance
Participants traveling from outside the United States may wish
to purchase accident and medical insurance protection during their
visit to San Francisco. Seabury and Smith, an association service
organization, offers coverage through its Gateway USA program. Insurance
must be purchased for a minimum of 15 days, up to a maximum of 60
days. Prices will vary depending upon the individual's age and choice
