Monday through Friday KiddieCorp provides a professional children's program at the meeting. Fees are $7 per hour, per child for children ages 6 months through 12 years, and $9 per hour, per child for children under 6 months. Children must be registered for a minimum of two consecutive hours per child per day. Advance reservations must be received by 7 November. Children will enjoy games, story time, arts and crafts, and other fun–filled activities. Monday through Friday The Donor Circle Lounge offers a quiet atmosphere for Supporting Members and special AGU guests to start the morning, unwind in the afternoon, mingle, prepare for a presentation, and check email. Continental breakfast is available in the morning, and light refreshments are offered from noon until the lounge closes for the day. There is ready access to telephones, computers, printers, the Internet, newspapers, and a message board.

Monday through Friday A registered nurse will be on–call during all meeting hours to provide basic first aid services and supply items such as Band–Aids and acetaminophen. GuestsGuests, or spouses not attending the scientific sessions, may register at the meeting at no charge. A guest is a spouse, friend, or adult child (18 and over) who is not in a geophysical sciences related occupation or field. A coworker or an associate working in a related geophysical sciences field or studying geophysics in school may not use the Guest Registration category. Registered guests may go to the exhibits and attend and purchase tickets to social events at the advertised rates. Message and Information Center

Anyone trying to contact meeting attendees should call the number listed above. Telephone messages and incoming faxes will be posted on message boards. Please plan to check these boards regularly in case other attendees are trying to reach you. Individuals cannot be paged. Outside of registration hours it is recommended that messages be left at the attendee's hotel. Poster PrintingDue to heightened security at airports and all the last minute changes that happen to posters, AGU has made arrangements with a local San Francisco printer to get your posters printed and delivered to your hotel. ALL speakers are required to check into the Speaker Ready Room in the building that they are giving their presentation at least 24 hours in advance. Those presenting on Monday, 11 December must check in on Sunday between 1500h and 1900h. We strongly suggest that presenters for Monday use the pre–submission option Special NeedsIf you have special needs, the AGU staff will work with its vendors to provide you reasonable support. Your laptop must be equipped with a Wi–Fi or 802.11B wireless network card for PCs or an Airport card for Macintosh. Power station areas are available where you can plug in your laptop. |
