Effectively Communicating Climate Change

Are you planning to teach about climate change in your courses?
Would you like to be better prepared to answer questions about climate change from family, friends, as well as people who are not scientists?
This workshop will give you information and opportunities to practice communicating about climate change with students and people who are not scientists.
The workshop is free and open to all Fall AGU attendees, including faculty, researchers, educators, communicators, and students.
The format is modular; stay for part or all of the workshop as your schedule dictates. The first hour will be an interactive workshop on best practices in climate change communications, including strategies for handling controversy in the classroom or in dialogue. During the second hour, participants will split into facilitated breakout groups to practice communications for a particular audience; students, or acquaintances and family members.
