All scientific sessions take place at the Baltimore Convention Center (BCC), located at One West Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland.

Oral session rooms are located on Level 3 of the Convention Center.
Poster session hours:
0830h-1230h
1400h-1800h (Friday, 1400h-1600h)
Poster sessions are scheduled Tuesday through Friday in Exhibit Hall C. Presenters will display posters for two days. Posters scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday should be placed by Tuesday 0830h and remain up until 1800h on Wednesday. Posters assigned for Thursday or Friday should be placed on Thursday before 0830h and remain until 1600h on Friday.
Exhibits are located in BCC, Level 1, Exhibit Hall C. Unless otherwise noted, exhibits are open Tuesday and Wednesday, 0930h-1800h, and Thursday, 0930h-1600h.

The Baltimore Convention Center provides business services including photocopying, transparencies, fax transmission and receipt, overnight mail drop point, UPS, office supplies, and cellular telephone rental.

The Nanny Network is providing child care service to attendees who make reservations by 26 April. Hourly rates will be based on the number of children and their ages. Average costs should range from $15 to $20 per hour. Advance registration is required. Please contact Melissa Ficek (
mficek@agu.org) with your children's ages and times needed for care. Child care services are a contractual agreement between each individual and the Nanny Network. AGU assumes no responsibility for the services rendered.

Donor Circle Lounge

The Donor Circle Lounge offers a quiet atmosphere for Supporting Members and special AGU guests to start the morning, unwind in the afternoon, mingle, prepare for a presentation, and check e-mail. Continental breakfast is available in the morning and light refreshments are offered from noon until the lounge closes for the day. There is ready access to telephones, computers, printers, the Internet, newspapers, and a message board.

Some e-mail terminals with secure Internet access are available inside Exhibit Hall C. A Wireless Internet Center is also available in Exhibit Hall C of the Convention Center.
First Aid
A registered nurse will be on-call during all meeting hours to provide basic first aid services and supply items such as Band-Aids, etc.

This is the central information center for Joint Assembly. Anyone trying to contact meeting attendees should call the Message Center to leave a message. Telephone messages will be posted on message boards. Please plan to check these boards regularly in case other attendees are trying to reach you. Individuals cannot be paged. Outside of registration hours it is recommended that messages be left at the attendee's hotel. Check back in mid-April for the telephone number to the Center.

Special Needs
AGU staff will work with vendors to provide reasonable support for those with special needs participating in sessions and other meeting events. Please contact the AGU Meetings Department (+1-202-777-7333 or
ja-help@agu.org) by 20 April with such requests so that we have adequate time to arrange for such services. Check in at the Facilities Desk in Exhibit Hall B while at the meeting.

ALL speakers are required to check into the Speaker Ready Room at least 24 hours before their presentation. Those presenting on Tuesday 23 May must check in on Monday between 1400h and 1900h. The hours of operation are:
