Registration Information

The advance registration deadline—21 May—for the 2008 Joint Assembly has passed. You must register on–site. See the updated On–Site Rates table below. On–site registration will be located on Level 1 of the Broward County Convention Center during the following hours:

Registration Rates

• Members of AGU and cooperating societies should register at member rates.
• Students* must show a student ID at registration.
• Retired** Members must be 65 or older and retired from full-time employment.
• “Low Income Countries:” special discounts are available for those from low income countries. See the list of “Tier 1 Low Income Countries” to determine if you are eligible for free registration. See the list of “Tier 2 Low Income Countries” to determine if you are eligible for 50% off of the appropriate registration category rate.

Guests

Guest badges can only be issued to those not participating in the scientific program. A guest is an individual who is not in a geophysical sciences related field or occupation, including graduate and undergraduate students. Registered guests may go to the exhibits and purchase tickets to social events at the advertised rates. You can designate a guest with your registration.

Accessibility for Registrants with Disabilities

AGU will work with its vendors to provide reasonable support to meetings and events for those who require special needs. Please indicate any special needs on the registration form or contact AGU's Meetings Department by email: ja-help@agu.org for more information.

Receipts

All who register online will receive a receipt/confirmation after they register via e-mail. All registrants will receive a receipt attached to the badge that will be given at the meeting.

Cancellations

• A written notification of cancellation must be sent to AGU by mail:

• The full fee will be refunded if written notification is received at AGU by 27 April 2008.
• Between 28 April and 9 May a $30 processing fee will be deducted from the registration fee paid.
• Requests for refunds, including ticketed events, cannot be processed after 9 May 2008.
