Donor Circle Lounge

The Donor Circle Lounge offers a quiet atmosphere for Supporting Members and special AGU guests to start the morning, unwind in the afternoon, mingle, prepare for a presentation, and check e–mail.
E–Mail Center/Wireless Internet Access
Tuesday–Friday: 0830h – 1800h
E-mail stations and wireless internet access will be available in the Convention Center. E-mail stations will be located on Level 1, Hall A. Wireless internet access will be available in both the 2nd and 3rd floor foyers, as well as the poster area of the Exhibit Hall.

Facilities Desk

Staff will be available to assist you with your poster location and other on–site needs. Push pins, tape, and scissors will be available for your use. Additional supplies may be available. However, if you have special needs for your poster presentation, we suggest you bring those supplies with you to the meeting. Presenters will also be able to place on-site orders for audio-visual equipment here.
First Aid
CC, Level 1, near Central Security
A registered EMT will be on-call during all meeting hours to provide basic first aid services and supply items such as bandages, acetaminophen, etc.
Guests
Guests or spouses not attending the scientific sessions may register at the meeting at no charge. A guest is a spouse, friend, or adult child (18 years old and older) who is not working in a geophysical science-related occupation or field. A colleague or working associate in a related geophysical sciences field or studying geophysics in school may not register as a guest. Registered guests may only go to the Exhibits and attend and purchase tickets to social events at the advertised rates.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found will be located at the Message and Information Center. Detailed information on hours and location can be found under “Message and Information Booth.”

As part of Joint Assembly’s goal to promote public understanding of Earth and space sciences, AGU operates a press room and holds press conferences at its meetings. Press releases and copies of journal articles about research being presented at the meeting are made available to reporters in the press room.
Message and Information Booth

This central information center is accessible to anyone trying to contact meeting attendees. Telephone messages will be posted on message boards. Incoming faxes should be sent to the fax number listed above. Faxes will be received and a message will be placed on the message boards for the recipient. Please check these boards regularly in case other attendees are trying to reach you. Individuals cannot be paged. Outside of registration hours it is recommended that messages be left at the attendee’s hotel. Names and phone numbers of hotels are listed on the Housing & Travel page.
Poster Services
AGU has made arrangements with Canmark Printing Solutions Inc. to offer presenters the option of having their posters printed in Florida and available for pick-up at the Convention Center. Click here to upload files for printing. The approximate cost for a 40” x 60” poster will be $50 – $60USD.
Please note that all orders must be pre-paid. Posters will be available for pick-up in the Coat Check area; ID is required when picking-up an order. Please note that Canmark needs at least 3 business days to fulfill each order.

Speaker Ready Room

We strongly encourage speakers to check into the Speaker Ready Room to upload their presentation before giving their presentation. Checking in at the Speaker Ready Room is the most important step you will take to ensure your presentation is a success. Those presenting on Tuesday should check in on Monday when they register for the meeting.
Special Needs
If you have special needs, the AGU staff will work with its vendors to provide you reasonable support. Please contact Meetings staff prior to the conference at ja-help@agu.org about any special assistance you may need during the Joint Assembly. During the meeting, contact an AGU staff person at the Facilities Desk in CC, Level 1, Hall A.
Webcasting
AGU will be presenting several lectures and scientific sessions by webcast on the Joint Assembly Web site. Real-time webcasts of several Joint Assembly plenary sessions will be available at agu.org. Additionally, all lectures will be webcast on the AGU Web site at the conclusion of the Joint Assembly.
