SUBJECT:	1998 Spring Meeting

Attached is a List of Students in your section who are presenting papers/posters and who might 
be considered for an Outstanding Student Paper Award at the 1998 AGU Spring Meeting.   A 
Sample Score Sheet also is attached.

The Suggested Procedure & Criteria information will be forwarded to you via e-mail.

Please make sure that the recipient(s) are notified of their award, either by you or your Section 
president, by the end of June 1998.  The award letter(s) may be mailed on your school’s 
letterhead.  Please ask the winner(s) to send their picture and a very brief biographical sketch of 
their education and research interests to my attention by the end of August 1998.  These will be 
published in a 1998 edition of Eos.  In addition, it would be helpful if a copy of the notification 
letter(s) or an e-mail list of winner(s) were forwarded to me for my records.
