Visas for international visitors

If your visa application is still pending after sixty days and you are at risk to not arrive in time to present a paper, you can register your visa delay with the U.S. National Academies of Sciences.

Travel to the US – Visa Information

AGU staff advises anyone who may need a visa to attend an AGU meeting to apply early. Visa applicants should apply at least 3 months in advance of the meeting. Security-related policies have greatly increased the processing time for visa applications. U.S. consular officers now usually interview applicants as part of the application process.
