Meeting Services Registration All attendees must register and wear badges while attending all Western Pacific Geophysics Meeting functions. Staff will be on hand to process lost registrations, supply certificates of attendance, print guest badges, and answer any questions related to the registration process. Registration Hours

The Administration Desk provides basic services such as printing, copying, fax transmission and receipt, package shipping information, and supplies. Lost and Found items will also be held at this location. E–Mail Stations/Wireless Internet Access Tuesday – Friday

E-mail stations will be available in Hall B, Exhibition Level of the Cairns Convention Centre. Wireless will be available in the common areas of the Convention Centre. First Aid Basic first aid is available. Contact AGU staff at registration services if in need. Guests Guests or spouses not attending the scientific sessions may register at the meeting at no charge. A guest is a spouse, friend, or adult child (18 years old and older) who is not work-ing in a geophysical science-related occupation or field. A colleague or working associate in a related geophysical sciences field or studying geophysics in school may not register as a guest. Registered guests may only attend and purchase tickets to social events at the adver-tised rates. Guests Lounge Sheridan Street Foyer

Spouses and other family members and guests of attendees can relax and mingle in the Sheridan Street Foyer. The Foyer is also the ideal location to sit and plan your fun activities for the week. Refreshments

General Information Regarding Cairns Transportation Cairns International Airport Public transportation in Cairns is varied as well as inexpensive. The center of Cairns is small enough to cover on foot. The Whitecar coach and the Sunbus are the two most prominent bus services of the city and depart from the market square to the suburbs and Northern Beaches.
