- AGU Sets Another BART Record! This year Fall Meeting attendees set a new record for the largest number ever of BART conference bookings. Thanks to more than 500 tickets sold, we haven’t broken just our own record from 2010. Of all conferences in San Francisco we remain the top users of BART for traveling to and from the airport. As a result, we saved the equivalent of 22,484 lbs of CO2 emissions, which AGU will be donating more than $9,500 to Save the Bay (www.savesfbay.org).
- Nearly 500 attendees participated in the 2nd Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk! View photos and race results.
- Save the Date: The 2012 Fall Meeting will be held Thursday, 6 December–Monday, 10 December.

In direct response to member feedback about delivery problems and an overwhelming preference for reading Eos online, print issues of Eos will no longer be mailed to members at delivery addresses outside of the United States. Members with a U.S. mailing address can also opt-out of delivery if they prefer not to receive print copies of Eos by using the Eos Delivery Preference form.
All members will continue to have access to the electronic edition of Eos as well as to recently introduced Web-only content. Members who do not receive print issues of Eos will receive e-alerts when new issues are posted online (several days ahead of the cover date). Please contact the AGU Member Service Center at service@agu.org with questions or comments about this change.
