Are you an amateur photographer? AGU needs your help!

What we’re looking for:

  • 2010 Fall Meeting Pictures – from the Fun Run/Walk to gatherings in the hallway, as long as they do not violate another person’s copyright (e.g., a photo from a presentation that clearly shows one of the slides and its content).
  • Pictures from your research trips or of your work in a lab or classroom setting, as long as they do not reveal confidential information or personal/private information about the subject.

Why we need them:
AGU wants to tell the story of the amazing and exciting work our members do, and what better way is there to do that than through photos of you in action?
The rules:
You may only submit photos for which you hold the copyright (i.e., you took them yourself). By submitting a photo(s), you are giving AGU permission to use it at no cost on the organization’s various websites, social media channels, and video projects, as well as in printed and electronic promotional materials. You will retain the copyright for your photo(s).

All photos should be submitted via Flickr. Make sure that you upload the original photo, and that you give each photo a meaningful name and a descriptive caption. For Fall Meeting photos, please use the tag #AGU10. For other photos, please use the tag #AGUmembersatwork.

AGU is proud to be a sponsor of the 2011 U.S Physics Team.  Twenty students from across the U.S. have emerged through a rigorous exam process that began last January with approximately 3,600 students who participated in the Fnet=ma exam to become the 2011 U.S. Physics Team.
