Abstract

The collisional incoherent scatter spectral theory of Woodman is extended to the T e /T i > 1 case by using its equivalent electron- and ion-Gordeyev integrals in existing collisionless spectral models. A collisional spectral model for T e /T i > 1 is needed in the interpretation of F region incoherent scatter returns obtained at small magnetic aspect angles.
