AGU 1989–1990 Congressional Science Fellow

Dr. Barbara J. Frank

Dr. Frank was the 13th AGU Congressional Science Fellow, working for the Subcommittee on International Scientific Cooperation of the House of Representatives' Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.

Dr. Frank received her Ph.D. in geology with emphasis on environmental geology from the University of South Carolina. She spent six years as the Department Chairperson and resident Professor of Geology at the University of Maryland, Munich, West Germany. For the academic year before she accepted the Fellowship, Dr. Frank was a participant in a faculty exchange between Ithaca College and the University of Maryland, Munich.
