Congressional hearings are one of the main ways that Congressional committees obtain information before and during the legislation writing process. Experts are brought in as witnesses to testify on the topic under review. Many AGU scientists give written and oral testimony before Congress. AGU provides summaries of many relevant Congressional hearings so our members can follow the latest happenings on Capitol Hill.
