General Information

 

A joint meeting of Heads and Chairs of departments in all areas of Geosciences will be held 10–11 October 2002 in Boulder, Colorado at NCAR's Center Green Campus, 3080 Center Green Drive, Boulder, Colorado. This meeting will be the AMS/UCAR 13th Meeting of the Heads and Chairs of Departments of Atmospheric, Oceanic, Hydrologic, and Related Sciences and the Fourth Meeting of the AGU's Heads and Chairs of Earth and Space Science Departments.

 

ACCOMMODATIONS

A block of rooms is reserved at the Broker Inn, 555 30th Street, Boulder, Colorado. The Inn is offering a special rate of $93 plus tax which includes breakfast. Hotel reservations should have been made by 16 September 2002. The UCAR contact at the Broker is Leah Christenson (tel: 800-338-5407 ext. 600; fax: 303-444-6444). A credit card guarantee is required. When making reservations please mention the UCAR room block.

 

REGISTRATION

All representatives were required to register for the Heads and Chairs meeting by submitting the registration form to AMS by 16 September 2002.  After 16 September, the attendees may register on-site.

 

TRANSPORTATION

The Broker Inn is approximately 45 miles (1 hour) from Denver International Airport. A commercial shuttle (the Supershuttle) departs from the airport every hour for the Broker Inn and costs approximately $19 per person one way. Reservations are required. Tel. 303‑370‑1300.  Bus transportation (from the University of Colorado) will be provided to attendees traveling between the Broker Inn and NCAR's Center Green Campus.
