David Hunter

Dr. Hunter was the 22nd AGU Congressional Science Fellow, working with Senator James Jeffords of Vermont from 1998-1999.

Dr. Hunter completed his doctoral studies at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego.  As a fellow for Senator Jeffords, he covered air, energy, and climate issues.  More specifically, he worked on electricity restructuring, renewable energy, air quality, and climate change.

Dr. Hunter is currently Legislative Assistant for Energy and Environment for Senator Susan Collins (R-ME).  Issues of particular concern to Senator
Collins are promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy, reducing mercury pollution, and addressing climate change.
