- Victoria Bruce, 1997 AGU Mass Media Fellow with The Oregonian. Ms. Bruce, currently a freelance writer, is the author of the non-fiction science/adventure book No Apparent Danger, and is working on the production of a documentary about a kidnapped presidential candidate in Colombia, which will be released in January 2003.
- Cristina Rumbaitis-Del Rio, 2002 AGU Mass Media Fellow with WOSU-AM, Columbus Ohio. Ms. Rumbaitis-Del Rio is currently finishing her doctoral degree in natural resources at the University of Colorado - Boulder.
Congressional Science Fellows deal with science issues in the office of a Senator, Representative, or committee for a full year.
- Karen Wayland, 2001-2002 AGU Congressional Science Fellow, spent her Fellowship in the office of Senator Harry Reid (D-NV).
- Illa Amerson, 2002-2003 AGU Congressional Science Fellow, has started her Fellowship in the office of Senator Kent Conrad (D-SD).
