Making the Section work

AGU-B Officers are assisted by both Past Officers and Committees composed of interested AGU-B members. We thank the numerous members who have served in the past and who are serving now.

The Fellows Committee evaluates nominations for fellows and encourages and guides new nominations; Chair: Patricia Dove; Members: Jim Galloway, Jim Ehleringer, Bill Parton, Ruth DeFries, Dave DesMarais, Steve Emerson.  (Recruited by President-Elect)

The Meetings Committee organizes sessions and organizes student judging for all meetings.  Possibly consider more pro-active role in coordinating core sessions;  Chair: Durell Scott; Members: Troy Baisden, Mariah Carbone, Erika Marin-Spiotta, Brian Schubert, Scott Werts.  (Recruited by Secretary)

The Member Action Committee solicits opinions from membership; recruits pool of volunteers for rapid responses to AGU demands; generates next generation of section leaders.  Chair:  Elise Pendall;  Members: Indy Burke, Eric Kasischke, Leila Hamdan, Jennifer King, Kate Lajtha, Marcy Litvak, Mike Loranty, Yakov Pachepsky, Nan Rosenbloom, Ted Schuur, Matt Wallenstein.
