Event Overview
The conference will take place at the NSF NCAR Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado from 15-19 September, 2025. Programming will consist of keynote talks, poster sessions, oral sessions, and breakout discussions. Wednesday will be a half-day of programming with an optional field trip in the afternoon. A welcome reception will be held on Monday and a conference dinner will take place during the week.

Who should attend
This conference encourages researchers in hydrology, meteorology, climate and atmospheric science, biogeosciences, ecology, remote sensing, and agriculture to attend. In addition, practitioners in agriculture (including farmers/growers), water resource managers, extension specialists, the irrigation industry, and the commercial satellite industry.
Meeting Goals
Anticipated goals of the conference include the publication of a best practices manual that reflects the current state of the art in making surface energy balance and trace gas flux measurements in different environments and determining sources of error and methods for defining uncertainty levels in water carbon and other trace gas fluxes that can be used with greater confidence in resource management decisions and regulatory policies for different climates and biomes. Research presented at this conference is also likely to be published in peer-reviewed journals.

Registration rates will not exceed $850 USD for Professionals and $550 USD for Students and attendees from Low-Income/Lower-Middle-Income Countries.

U.S. Government Requirement for Visa Waiver Program
Effective 20 January 2011, citizens of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries will be unable to enter the United States without Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval from the U.S. Government. VWP travelers who have not obtained approval through ESTA will be denied boarding on any carrier destined for the United States.
