Grants Overview

Travel grants provide funds to assist students and early career professionals with a combination of costs associated with attending the meeting. These are meant to be supplemental funds and may not cover the full cost of your participation in the meeting.

Current funding is only available for students and early career researchers who reside or work in the US.

Before applying, please read the eligibility requirements for this grant below.

Applicants must:

  • Be the first author and presenter of an accepted abstract
  • Be a student (high school through graduate) or within 10 years of receiving your PhD
  • Attend in person in Montréal and show additional financial ability to attend
  • Submit a completed abstract (include reference number on your application)
  • Apply via your AGU universal account.

The last day to submit a travel grant application is 18 February.

Conveners are actively pursuing funding for international attendees. To be considered for potential travel support, complete this interest form.
