Travel Grants

Student Travel Grant

The Frontiers In Hydrology Meeting Student Travel Grant provides financial assistance to student attendees at the Frontiers In Hydrology Meeting. All students attending the meeting may apply, but preference will be given to students from historically marginalized communities and vulnerable populations. Awards will be given in the amount of $1000 USD, with both in-person and virtual attendees eligible to apply. To apply, students must be a currently enrolled high school student, two- or four- year undergraduate student or graduate student at an academic institution.

Early Career Travel Grant

The Frontiers In Hydrology Meeting Early Career Travel Grant provides financial assistance to those attending the Frontiers In Hydrology Meeting. All early career professionals attending the meeting may apply, but preference is given to applicants from historically marginalized communities and vulnerable populations. Awards will be given in the amount of $1000 USD, with both in-person and virtual attendees eligible to apply. To apply, early career professionals must be within 10 years of their terminal degree.

Berkner Travel Fellowship

Berkner Travel Fellowships provide funding for early career scientists and students to present research at AGU-sponsored meetings who are citizens of countries designated by the World Bank as “low” or “lower-middle” income per capita. For the 2022 Frontiers in Hydrology Meeting (FIHM), funds will be awarded to both in-person and virtual attendees, with preference given for in-person attendance. In-person attendees will receive a reimbursement for the cost of their FIHM Meeting expenses (meeting registration, hotel accommodations, airfare, visa fees, and personal expenses). Virtual attendees will receive an award amount of $2500 USD, to cover FIHM Meeting-related expenses and educational expenses.
