Fall Meeting is the largest gathering of Earth and space scientists in the world. We are working to prepare for three possible scenarios for Fall Meeting sessions, keynotes and networking:
1. As usual, with a mix of virtual and in-person in San Francisco, CA;
2. Heavier on virtual with some in-person in San Francisco, CA; and
3. 100% virtual.
Every message about Fall Meeting won’t start with COVID-19, but please know that it’s always at the forefront of our minds. All of us are facing the same attempts to balance work, personal and everything in between. At this point, we still have plenty of time to develop these options and decide which is necessary or most appropriate.
We assure you that Fall Meeting 2020 will continue to bring a diverse and relevant set of topics to help move Earth and space science forward.
7 – 11 December 2020
Fall Meeting is the largest international Earth and space science meeting in the world. After last year's Centennial celebration, we return to the Moscone Center in San Francisco to look towards AGU's next 100 years of advancing the future of science.
Fall Meeting will be held at San Francisco’s newly renovated Moscone Convention Center. San Francisco is famous for scenic beauty, cultural attractions, diverse communities, and world-class cuisine. Its landmarks include the Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, Chinatown, Union Square, North Beach, the Castro district, and Mission Dolores.
