SciArt Workshop: Murals in Motion: Sustaining Hope Through Collective Action and the Arts
Other Events
If we take the current state and trends of plastic pollution as the inevitable future reality, it’s easy to lose hope of finding a solution. But engaging in collective action through the language of the arts enables us to move beyond the world as we see it. The arts engage the creative, imaginative, and intuitive parts of brain that must be used to find innovative solutions that will change the future and collective action leads to empowerment and sustained hope. In this workshop, participants will learn about the issue of plastic pollution and create a mural that acts as a metaphor for collective solutions.
