Every two years, WaterSciCon unifies the water community to share research, collaborate, connect scientists from around the world, and plan for the future.

The inaugural meeting, initially called Frontiers in Hydrology Meeting (FIHM), was held in June 2022 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and online with almost 900 attendees. After observing the favorable outcome achieved at FIHM and the potential growth in the upcoming years, the conference organizers opted to modify its initial name of "Frontiers in Hydrology (FIHM)" to the" Water Science Conference (WaterSciCon)." This strategic alteration was undertaken with the intention of drawing the attention of a broader spectrum of experts within water-related fields. The second meeting, WaterSciCon24, will be held in St. Paul, Minn., on 23-28 June 2024.

About AGU
