U22D - Lightning Talks III: Future Climate
Lecture Instructional
What are the possible futures for Earth’s climate over the next century and beyond, and how can science and scientists help us shape this future? The six speakers in this session provide novel and expert perspectives on the essential questions and challenges.  Even with intensive, international mitigation, there are many possible climate outcomes.  Starting with water in its phases, we’ll hear the latest news about Ice Sheets (from AGU’s President) and clouds in a warming world. On land, gain new insights on ecological tipping points and solutions to the challenge of building out renewable energy while conserving land for biodiversity. Finally, explore the outcomes of an AGU-funded study on personal action.
