Valerio Lucarini
Professor of Applied Mathematics, University of Leicester
Valerio Lucarini is professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Leicester, where he coordinates the activities in Computational Modelling in Science & Engineering. He has supervised 15 PDRAs, 12 PhD students and >20 research students. He is author of more than 150 publications including two monographs. He received the 2010 A. Richter Award and the 2020 Richardson Medal from EGU, the 2018 LMS Whitehead Prize, and the 2022 SIAM MPE Award. He delivered the 2021 AGU Lorenz lecture.
