Dr. Reva Kay Williams is a research assistant professor at University of Toledo. She is the nation’s first Black female theoretical astrophysicist. She is an expert on black hole physics and the first person to successfully work out the Penrose mechanism to extract energy from a rotating black hole using Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, thus, explaining how quasars are powered.
