I am a Regents Professor at Northern Arizona University in the field of ecological informatics. I've conducted remote sensing research over some 40 years and served on working groups for the IPCC, UN programs on REDD+, the US Global Change Research Program, the US National Academy of Sciences, and interagency programs on carbon cycle science, climate change and terrestrial ecology. I am Science Lead of NASA's ABoVE program and Deputy PI for Science of NASA's GEDI Lidar mission.
