Dr Zakir is working as Director Research at Irrigation Research Institute (IRI) in Punjab Irrigation Department Lahore, Pakistan. He obtained M. Engg, degree from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and PhD from Charles Sturt University, Australia. He has more than 30 year experience in the applied and basic research fields related to a wide domain of water sector issues including groundwater management, artificial recharge of groundwater, water conservation, IWRM, climate changes.
