I am currently a research professor at the Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH. Before joining UNH, I was a distinguished professor (DP) at the University of Florida (now emeritus DP), and holder of the Jon and Beverly Thompson Chair in Geological Sciences and held full professor positions at Tulane University and Texas A&M University. My general areas of expertise are organic geochemistry, chemical oceanography, and global carbon cycling.
