Eric A. Davidson is Professor at the Appalachian Laboratory, Univ. of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. His research includes soil nutrient cycling, greenhouse gas emissions from forest and agricultural soils, and global biogeochemical budgets. He is Past President of the AGU and of its Biogeosciences section. He is a Fellow of AGU and AAAS and a Jefferson Science Fellow. Davidson's newest book (2022) is Science for a Green New Deal: Connecting Climate, Economics, and Social Justice.
