Can I Edit My Abstract After Submission? Yes, Before the Deadline—Here's How
You’ve submitted your abstract to AGU25, but what if you realize something needs changing? Good news: you can edit your abstract, as long as it’s before the deadline on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, at 23:59 EDT (03:59 UTC).
How to Edit Your Abstract Before the Deadline:
- Log in to your AGU account via the AGU25 submission site.
- Revisit the User Portal where your abstract was submitted.
- Select your abstract and make any necessary changes.
Remember: you can edit the title, text, presentation format, author information, and participation mode, as well as the optional image or plain-language summary. Just be sure all edits are finalized before the deadline. Once that date passes, no further changes can be made.
Key Reminders:
The first author is the only person who can submit and edit an abstract. All changes must comply with the abstract requirements (2,000 characters for text, English language, etc.).
You must complete payment of the abstract submission fee before the deadline. If you encounter any issues while editing, visit the help page or contact Technical Support.
