Whether you’re just getting started or finalizing your submission, this application helps you identify the best options by analyzing your abstract content and offering relevant session suggestions. Here's how to use it effectively.
Paste in Your Abstract
- Open the application and paste your abstract text into the provided box
- Click "Find Sessions" to receive a list of recommended sessions
- You can experiment with modified drafts of your abstract—this is a helpful way to explore which sessions might be most appropriate before committing to one
Note: Using this application does not submit your abstract to the meeting. You must still complete your submission here.
Review Session Details
- Click "View Details" to learn more about a session, including its scientific scope, organizing Section(s), and participation format
- Check for convener information to see who is leading the session
- Make sure your research fits the scope and goals of the session you are considering

Submit Your Abstract
Once you’ve identified a session that fits, click "Go Submit." This will direct you to the official AGU Abstract Submission website where you can begin the formal submission process.
Here’s what you’ll do in the submission system:
- Log in with your AGU member account.
- Confirm your session selection.
- Enter your abstract title and text.
- Upload an optional image or plain language summary.
- Select your presentation format preference (poster only or program-assigned).
- Indicate whether you will participate in person or online.
- Pay the required submission fee.
- Click submit.
You can edit your submission at any time before the deadline: Wednesday, 30 July 2025 at 23:59 EDT / 03:59 UTC.
