Congratulations to the 2025 Honorees!

Each year, AGU celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the Earth and space sciences. Today, we are proud to announce the recipients of AGU’s 2025 Union Medals, Awards and Prizes; Fellows; and Section Awards and Lectures.

AGU recognizes individuals and teams for their accomplishments in research, education, science communication and outreach. These recipients have transformed our understanding of the world, impacted our everyday lives, improved our communities and contributed to solutions for a sustainable future. AGU President Brandon Jones and the Honors and Recognition Committee extend their warmest congratulations to this year’s honorees.

Honorees will be celebrated at AGU25, where attendees will gather in New Orleans, LA., and online everywhere from 15 to 19 December 2025. The 2025 honorees perfectly embody this year’s meeting theme, “Where Science Connects Us,” with their groundbreaking contributions, which have profoundly impacted our scientific community and will influence generations to come.
