Dr. Mishra’s research focuses on drought hydrology, compound extremes, and water security. His interdisciplinary work combines statistical modeling, machine learning, information theory, and complex network approaches to understand the drivers and propagation of drought and compound hydroclimatic extremes and their interactions with land surface processes. His research advances understanding of hydrologic variability to strengthen water security during extreme events.
