George H. Allen is an Associate Professor of Geosciences at Virginia Tech. He uses satellite observations to study Earth’s inland surface waters, often at the global scale. His work applies a variety of remote sensing approaches to understand how water and other materials move through rivers, lakes, and wetlands. Allen is the recipient of the NASA ECIP, NSF CAREER, and the AGU Hydrologic Sciences Early Career Award.
