Gisela Winckler is a Professor of Climate at Columbia University's Climate School. Trained as an oceanographer and environmental physicist, her research focuses on the history and the causes of climate variability in the past, present, and future. Using archives like deep-sea sediments and ice cores, she investigate the interplay of climate change, the carbon cycle, and aerosols. She serves on the Advisory Council of the Climate Museum and is an AAAS fellow.
