Kristine DeLong has expertise in paleoceanography and paleoclimatology, with 23 years of research experience focused on past climate change, primarily in subtropical to tropical regions for the past 130,000 years. Current projects include investigating shifts in sea surface temperature and ocean circulation in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea, utilizing chemical variations in the skeletons of large, boulder-sized corals that can live for many centuries.
