Assistant Professor, University of California Los Angeles
I am an interdisciplinary scientist examining terrestrial social-ecological systems in the context of two globally pressing challenges: climate change and increasing demands for land to accommodate food, fuel, and fiber production for everyone on Earth. I combine remote sensing, field observations, models, and socioeconomic analyses to gain new insight into patterns and processes across scales in the context of global environmental change to contribute to the scientific basis for solutions.
